WARNING ALL FOREIGNERS WORKING IN SHANGHAI-Because of the EXPO2010 is being held in Shanghai this year, the PBS and police have notified the Educational Bureau that all schools hiring foreign English teachers without the correct visa will be fined and closed, also the foreigner working in their school will be detained, fined and deported from China for 3-5 years (air-flight will be paid by the foreigner). The government will have the educational market cleaned out by April 2010. Therefore, all foreigners must know the laws regarding teaching in Shanghai. All foreigners working as a teacher in China MUST have an expert certificate in education and a residences visa.
